We finally got settled in and attending church on Sunday morning. Afterwards we ate an amazing meal. Over eating amazing good food seemed to be the theme over the course of the next 14 days.

On Monday we took a journey in the foot steps of John G. Lake who was part of establishing 625 churches and leading 1 million people to Jesus Christ in 5 years starting in South Africa. Downtown Johannesburg was really sad as there is so much poverty yet the city is built on top of a gold mine.

Enjoy the pictures of the beginning of our journey.

I am so blessed. This week I was fortunate to fly from San Antonio to Chicago to China to Malaysia. The pictures and videos I took, see below, are amazing. When I finally got to the airport in San Antonio to begin my adventure, my plane was delayed one hour due to bad weather in Chicago. As a result I missed my flight to Shanghai on American Airlines and thought I would have to spend the night in Chicago. Boy was I wrong. American immediately put me on a United Airlines flight that went to Beijing, China. Wow, Beijing! Even though I would be on the ground in Beijing for a little while as I connected to Kuala Lumpur I was so excited to go to Beijing.

Once again, I was wrong as my short layover turned into something much more. As our airplane was suppose to land in Beijing our 747 circled around the airport for almost an hour. When we finally landed we weren’t in Beijing, we were in a little town in China south of Beijing. It turned out Beijing Airport was closed due to bad weather as we waited in our 747 for almost 4 hours until we were told we could fly out and into Beijing. Not only did I miss my connecting flight, the one and only flight per day, I was stranded in Beijing without a visa. To make a long story short, not only did I meet up with two very nice Americans, I was given a one day visa and the next day with my new American friends I traveled to the Great Wall of China! Yes, the Great Wall… What a blessing and one place I can check off the bucket list. God is so good! China isn’t what the American press makes it out to be. I was able to use Facebook, use Skype to talk to my Shannon, surf the Internet and travel freely wherever I wanted. China is sooooo beautiful and the people are so friendly. I truly believe its only a matter of time before communism ends and China become an open society. Then again, there is a picture I took at the Great Wall that basically sums up how the Chinese see our President of the United States. Kind of scary.

Well, after my adventure to the Great Wall I was off to the airport to fly into Malaysia. The hotel in Malaysia was a 5 Star Resort located in Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is very hot and humid all year long so I didn’t get much time to travel around due to the class I was there to teach as well as being alone. From Monday to Tuesday I was an instructor for a 4G LTE Migration Strategy class that I taught in the hotel and my students were AWESOME. I was so thankful I was able to get through the two days as the first time teaching a class I had to create from scratch wasn’t easy. Then again, Jesus doesn’t give us more than we can handle. Thank you God for such an amazing opportunity.

I left Malaysia on Wednesday evening and headed back to the United States through Hong Kong. It was a very long THREE (3) days of travel that it took me to get back to San Antonio. Anyhow, enjoy the pictures and in less than two weeks I’m off to South Africa!

Oh yeah, the guy in the picture is my new Chinese friend I sat next to on the way to Beijing whom I got to tell about God and Jesus for the first time. Pretty cool time.

Wow, what a great day out on the ocean / Bay of Corpus Christi. Being out fishing reminded be a lot about Jesus and the stories in the bible with his disciples. Little did I know fishing would bring me closer to him. Thank you Jesus.

We caught a lot of fish, as you will see, yet we didn’t catch the big one or any red fish. At some point it started to become a long day waiting to catch red fish. Basically you cast out and wait. Very little interaction.

After fishing I went back to the home room and hit the bed! Thank God I woke up so I could attend the closing events at the harbor. Believe it or not we were one of the last 10 teams standing to win the $45,000 fishing boat. We didn’t win the boat but I did win a two day resort stay at the Harbor Resort. Pretty cool as I can’t wait to take Shannon after we are married.

Enjoy the pictures and video’s. This week back to Corpus Christi and then off to Malaysia.

Today was a really nice day. I took the time to travel down to Corpus Christi to participate in the 1st Texas Deer Association Fishing Tournament called, “Brush to Bay Fishing Tournament”. I got to Corpus Christi around 5 p.m. and immediately went to the harbor where all the fishing boats will leave tomorrow morning around 6 a.m. As you will see there was a large area for all types of entertainment.

I think I’m going win this event and the brand boat mainly because I don’t know how to fish, yet my favorite fisherman of all time was Jesus Christ thus I have prayed that he brings on-board huge fish just like when he went fishing with the disciples. Ha! We shall see.

The event was nice, lots of free food and stuff to drink, then again someone had pay for it… Thank you Texas Deer Association. I definitely look forward to waking at 5 a.m., then again I could be lying, but seriously I do look forward to a great time fishing out on the open water.

Enjoy the pictures and video as I look forward to sharing with you very soon.

Wow, what a week. The first set of pictures / videos are of a really bad thunderstorm on my way back home to San Antonio from Dallas. I tried my best to capture the lighting. I actually caught some cool footage.

After traveling all over the country over the past two week I was blessed to be invited by the Barnes Family to participate as a guest at the PGA Byron Nelson Event. What an amazing golf course located at the TPC Four Season Golf Course and Resort. Buddie is a member of the Salesmanship Club that sponsors the event and Shannon served as a volunteer. The all inclusive passes both myself and Jack Sheffield received were an honor as we eat and drank like kings high high atop the 18th Green both Saturday and Sunday.

On Monday, Memorial Day, Buddie took us golfing at TPC Craig’s Ranch. I love this course though I look forward to playing there when the winds aren’t blowing 40 MPH.

Lot’s of golf, though I love the sport with a passion, as the rest I received is much needed. Next weekend it’s a fishing tournament in Corpus Christi that the Texas Deer Association has blessed me with being able to attend. Thank you Jesus for such an amazing LIFE!

This week was so exciting as I was blessed with going to Chicago for a consultants conference with Motorola. When Lynne and I got to the San Antonio Airport we couldn’t believe there weren’t any parking spaces in such a huge parking garage… Where is everyone going, was what we we couldn’t answer. When we finally got to Chicago I had set in my mind to go to my favorite restaurant in Downtown Chicago yet after missing our train, going on a wild taxi ride with a driver named “Bill” we finally got to our place to eat. What an incredible meal.

The next two days were at Motorola’s corporate headquarters learning about the latest and greatest technology about to enter the market for public safety and utilities. All I can say is “Wow”…

Enjoy the pictures and everyone who made this adventure possible with you love and support.
